For Sale, 1973 FMC Motorhome
Price: ASK Contact: HEREUsed RV for Sale, found this rare American Class A motorhome offered for sale in Portland, Oregon. One of the best and coolest RVs to come out of the 1970s is the FMC 2900R Motorhome, a limited production made by the Food Machinery Corporation (FMC) canning company that was operating since the 1920s.
FMC was not only an expert in food canning, but they had extensive experience building a vehicle dating back to World War II when FMC had a contract to build the Landing Vehicle for military service. So don't be surprised if the prices for an FMC 2900R are so expensive, so many famous people bought them, and very popular among upscale motorhome buyers at that time. Unclear, how many units were ever built, but there are believed more than 7000 units are still out there, and this one of them was listed on craigslist about five days ago and is still online today when we posted it here. If you're interested, a closer inspection is a must.
