Sadly it's time for us to part with our 2008 144" Dodge Sprinter 2500. This adventure mobile has been our favorite one yet (better than our Honda Element and even our VW Westfalia Vanagon that we owned previous to this). This is a crew model which includes one factory bench seat in the back which was essential for us to legally haul around our three kids and their car seats. These models are hard to find and great for small families! Fits great in any parking space (pretty much the same length as a Toyota Tundra) and with the lower roof it even fits in drive thru's and some parking structures. The back cargo section has been converted to a camper/living space complete with cabinets, a sink with a sprayer (perfect for rinsing off after a surf session), a concrete countertop, a couch that converts into a bed, lights, a plug/usb outlet and surfboard storage under the couch that fits up to an 8' surfboard. Business in the front, party in the back.
I promise you will love this van! We have used it as our everyday driver and have taken it on several cross country trips including the Oregon Coast, Northern California Coast, Colorado Mountains, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, etc. This van is big, but not too big. It is the perfect size to be used as an everyday driver and a weekend camper. It's a perfect beach car. We keep it loaded with beach toys and towels in the cupboards and surfboards and wetsuits under the couch. You would never know all that stuff was there since it packs away so nicely.
