Detail by owner
1966 Streamline RV. 30'. One of 80 ever made. This is the beginning of the Newell Company, which still makes coaches today. Today they go for about $300,000. Back then this one listed for $17,000. A lot of famous people owned one of these coaches. The Beach Boys, Steve McQueen, Walter Mathou, WIllie Shoemaker, Anne Baxter, and Jeff Spencer ( his was the most famous, and called the silver bullet).
They know where 50 of them are to this day. Mine is definitely one of the most original, and complete of the group. This rig could easily be made to be the nicest one in existence.
This rig is absolutely complete, and sits as it did 46 years ago when new.
330 Ford big block (no not a typo).
Cruise o matic auto trans. with a gear vendor overdrive
posi rear end
The chassis is like a Ford f600, 2 ton
drum brakes hydraulic
a/c units in dash, and on top
The rig has sat for 10 years. Everything was working when it was parked.
One interesting aspect of this rig is that everything is made of metal, tanks, etc. no plastic.
60 gallons of fuel
fresh, black, and grey tanks. Not sure of their size.
I also have a bunch of paperwork for this rig from the time it was new until present time. Manuals, service records, etc
