It's an all-terrain self-contained class C RV built upon a 1984 Toyota Sunrader FG-180 platform with has about 18 feet long fiberglass shell backed by a 22R 4-cylinder engine with a manual transmission and has been driven about 145K miles on it.
This Sunrader 4x4 was listed a day ago on Craigslist and was still online when we posted it here. It has been a full restoration and modifications lasted a total of over a decade during the current ownership. Everything is in good working order without words any issues. If you are interested, a closer inspection is a must.

Sunrader 4x4's are uncommon. Estimates vary, but certainly less than 50 stock 4x4 Sunrader's were ever made. This is likely one of the only style RV's going up in value today. This 4x4 Sunrader Monterey has the dinette in rear with panoramic windows, with a 6' rear standing height. It sleeps 4 (2 double beds), has a 2-burner stove-top, freezer/ fridge, sink, a full-privacy toilet and both interior and exterior showers. This has been a no smoking, no pets vehicle since a complete interior and mechanical rebuild. It is exceptionally clean in, out and under the hood. A clear CarFax history is available. Be advised that while the 22R motor is historic for good mileage, reliability and long life, it does not provide V8 performance, if that is what you are used to.
The sale is as an overland package, including a 4 cycle motorized mountain bike, two 5 gallon mil-spec fuel cans with locking racks, and a Honda 2000 generator mounted to a LowPro secure-locking plate, all have low hours and are in excellent condition, all capable of mounting to an included lockable rear hitch-mounted rack.
Full restoration and modifications lasted a total of over 14 years time. This is a well-appointed, medium-duty overland vehicle with many additional modifications too numerous to list here. Resulting vehicle is, in many ways, superior to the original design. I have all the build receipts, and all the manuals for everything,
All maintenance on both coach and chassis meticulously completed, drive train fluids carefully changed / maintained. Many additional photos of the build and other details are available from me upon serious consideration from a party. This is a clean, very rare RV, restored with well thought out upgrades while maintaining it's original classic style.

Original mileage is 145 K on original front straight-axle only, all the rest of the vehicle drivetrain has been rebuilt. Rebuilt motor, Rebuilt transmission, front brakes upgraded less than 5K ago, rear brakes rebuilt, upgraded 1992 full-floating 6-lug rear axle, new truck battery, new muffler / catalytic converter, new 6 volt deep-cell batteries in coach. No leaks of any kind on motor or transmission. No leaks anywhere in coach. Cab interior excellent, Accura seats and washable covers, 4-Runner instrument panel and map lights , no cracks in the dash, all new stock floor covering.
Mechanical Replacements/Improvements: Engine – rebuild was completed 14K miles ago . Motor Peripherals - Other motor peripherals replaced include– Alternator, Starter, Voltage Regulator, Water pump, 3-row Radiator, Radiator Shroud. Transmission- A rebuild was completed on the 5-speed transmission, flywheel etc. approximately 14K miles ago. Clutch - A new clutch, T/O bearing and pilot bushing were replaced less than 100 miles ago. Both differentials and all universal joints were lubricated at that time. Carburetor – Professional carburetor rebuild was performed less than 500 mi ago. Fuel economy and CA emissions systems were checked and are performing exceptionally. Passed smog flawlessly. HAC Sys - New OEM HAC (High Altitude Compensator) assembly installed. New Battery Isolator has been installed. Cab A/C just recharged. Steering- Power steering has been added to replace original manual. Steering damper has been replaced. New Rancho adjustable shocks have been installed to front axle. Rear Axle- A 1992 Toyota 6-lug full-floating rear axle was installed, also equipped with Rancho adjustable shocks. Rear Brakes – Master Cylinder and rear brake shoes were replaced and rear drums were inspected and turned. Wheels- Stockton brand custom made rear wheels are currently mounted with Kumho all-terrain 15” tires. Tires have mfg dates of April 2015, but have been covered and show no cracking or excessive wear. Front Brakes – Front brakes have been upgraded to newer generation Land Cruiser vented rotor style. Front Leaf Springs – New leaf-Springs were installed approximately 1K miles ago. Exhaust Sys – A new muffler and Catalytic Converter have been installed. 15” custom rear wheels - Custom & Commercial Wheel Bloomington, CA Custom fitted cover made by CalMark Co.
