Very rare Airstream motorhome. Just completed a total refit totaling over $20k including: drivetrain: complete rebuilt engine and transmission, belts, fuel pump, fan clutch, new electric fan, aftermarket transmission cooling pan; total electrical system overhaul: coach and house batteries, converter, starter, alternator; mechanical: new brakes, rotors, side axel seals, calipers, tag axel bearing, hydraulic stabilizer jack repairs; generator service; the previous owners installed new air-conditioning units and completed an interior refit in the last ten years.
We purchased the coach in Maryland in August of 2019, then drove to Myrtle Beach, SC where several of the repairs and maintenance services were completed. We then drove to the Florida Keys and finally took it home to southern New Mexico where is has undergone most of the major mechanical overhauls and is now kept under cover.
The coach has been owned by two other families who have also cared for and kept up with all the required maintenance. Maintenance records and even the original dealer paperwork and brochures are all included. I will also include several bags of miscellaneous airstream parts that have been collected by the previous owners who apparently frequented Airstream meet ups and swap meets collecting hard to find airstream items. As there are too many to list, I will not try. Please do not ask me to list or sell separately, as they will stay with the coach and be given to the new owners.
Features are many as these were considered the Cadillac of motorhomes and RVs of their time. Some of the features include electric front captain seats, factory water filtration system, automatic hydraulic leveling jacks, automatic steps, generator, Airstream's built-in countertop blender, three-way full sized over and under refrigerator and freezer, bedroom make up counter with hideaway vanity, and even a floor safe in one of the several hanging bedroom closets. There is a double bed in the back and the dinette as well as the sofa make into additional sleeping spaces. There is enough room (and seatbelts) to safely transport the whole family (see photos of brochure / specifications for tank capacities and additional specifications and details).
We are selling as we have decided to downsize and have purchased a 19' travel trailer. There are still a few things left to do to as with most classics and as a result, the motorhome is being listed in good condition and not excellent condition. These include a few minor blemishes to the exterior, two of the outside storage compartment pans have rust and will need to be reinforced or eventually replaced, and the window seals could use refreshing. I am open to price negotiations, however, these items are accounted for and reflected in the listed price.
