Restored 1974 Volkswagen Riviera Camper vw bus
Incredible restoration done on this 1974 Riviera bus. Bus purchased from Washington with surface rust, but brought it back to showroom condition. It has the 1800cc Type 4 engine with dual Solex carbs. German Autowerks in Mesa, AZ took a look at it and got it running smooth. It's in great working condition. This bus can be used as a daily driver.
Exterior paint is the original Pastel White (L 90 D paint code). Paint job was done professionally by Arizona Speed Shop. Bodywork and paint took over 80 hours to get it back to showroom condition. Top Shop in Phoenix, AZ re-upholstered the rear Z-bed and rear deck lid cushion with factory tan vinyl interior making it look like new. All new brakes, shocks and tires installed including new powder-coated rims in 9001 paint code color (off-white). All exterior plastic lights are new. New seals installed for all the doors and openings such as rear hatch and engine compartment as well as new windows seals on every window were replaced after the paint job.
The pop-up tent sleeper still has the original bed cushion, just the fold out cushion portion is missing. The pop-up tent is original with no tears or rips. The interior of the bus still has the original headliner, front door panels, roof panels in the back, laminate flooring and the original wood rear side panels. The bus does have the stainless steel sink with water storage tank under it. The original refrigerator with ice tray is in great working condition along with the Coleman two-burner stove.
