My current surfmobile project - moving, so I'm looking into selling this and starting new once I settle in rather than figure out where to put it during the move.

Clean title, current registration, pre smog van, very cool surfmobile, VW Bus alternative - same vibe but no one else will have this! Has a 318 V8 engine with 2bbl carb and Automatic 727 transmission, AC (all there but I haven't started it up yet) and no rust. It's ridiculous how rust free this thing is. The original paint is very salvageable, just needs a rubdown with rubbing compound and wax and will make a very good driver quality van. There are a few bumps here and there, so for a show vehicle I'd probably paint it, but as a nice driver van for stashing boards on the PCH while you spend the day at the beach I'd leave it.

I found this van stored out near Bakersfield after sitting since 1988 and have been gradually bringing up to speed. Newly reupholstered rear fold out bed bench has been rebuilt with memory foam and custom fabric. Original uncomfortable lowback seats replaced with stock Dodge B-series van seats, very comfortable, nice looking black vinyl in excellent condition.

I'm in the process of doing the curtains, and they can be included in sale. I'll continue finishing this thing either way unless it sells.

The cabinets and stove are intact and nice, and I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the wood bench seat structure. I still need to reassemble the bench seat mechanism.

I've cut in the new subflooring and will have new carpet installed in the next few days.

I have an HEI distributor unit to install, it's just a bit down the list.

The van needs the brakes bled and the front passenger cylinder replaced. The headlights and interior dome lights work, but the gas gauge and the temperature gauge need replacing.

The van has a recored radiator, no leaks. The van is a one key van, but does need some work getting the cargo door linkages working. It has a working carburator, but it could use tuning or a rebuild, or maybe just swap over to a 4bbl carb and intake. It's a project, but it does run and drive and have a pretty cool interior. Mostly needs engine tuning and brakes.
