This is an extremely rare (16ft. model) Columbia travel trailer, which was made in Glendale, CA. in 1949. Only a handful of these trailers were ever made from Columbia. The original owner kept it garaged for 50 years and it is in great condition and ready for use. Most everything is original with additional improvements made:
...New 3,500 lb. trailer axle including new electric brakes, bearings, leaf springs, like new tires, etc..
...12V power system including new deep cycle battery, solar charge/maintenance, 40 gallon water tank, Shurflo water pressure pump with plumbing to additional faucet, city water re-done in Pex plumbing and pressure regulator, etc.
...New spare tire (front mount), new tanks (propane) and gas regulator, new tow chains, new wiring to tow/running lights with standard tow plug, etc.
...Everything pictured included with trailer
The original interior finish has faded over time and should eventually be re-done. It can be described as 'rustic' in appearance. About 25% of the interior wood has already been carefully stripped down to the original fir plywood and it is quite beautiful. Exterior sides, roof and bottom have been completely sealed and coated.
This magnificent trailer has clear title, original keys, complete circa 50's trailer awning with poles, sidewalls, and under-skirting, original jacks, original metal entry step, etc... and is roadworthy and ready to camp.
